Albany Campus - Information
If you are new to the Albany campus here are some things you should know:
ROOM LOCATIONS: Maps which show building and room locations are available at Massey Contact (open weekdays) in Level 1, Quadrangle A. Maps are also on the MU website http://tinyurl.com/ll3f4t
Rooms labelled OR are on the Oteha Rohe site (Gate 5). Rooms labelled AT, NW, QA, SC or IIMS are on the East Precinct (Gate 1). Rooms labelled AV can be found in Albany Village adjacent to the School of Design
COMPUTER FACILITIES: Hours of operation for labs vary.

Note: postgraduate labs accessible by postgraduate card access only. Get a pre-loaded card from the Cashier (weekdays only) in Quadrangle Building A with your student ID. There is a small charge for this ($12, $10 of which is refundable when the card is returned). Block course postgraduates on campus for a day only might find it easier to just use the undergraduate labs.
East Precinct: Labs are located in the following buildings:
§ Quadrangle B building basement (undergraduate and postgraduate)
§ Atrium Lower Level 2 (undergraduate)
§ IIMS Building Lower Level (undergraduate)
To get credit on your ID card (for printing) go to the Cashier in Massey Contact, level 1, Quadrangle A Building
Oteha Rohe: Computer labs:
§ Building 106 (undergraduate)
§ Building 38 (postgraduate)
Wireless Internet: There is a free wireless network service available to students who have their own laptops. For details on coverage and how to access go to http://wireless.massey.ac.nz/
FOOD & BEVERAGE: Hours of operation vary, and are reduced or closed during semester breaks. Vending machines accessible at weekends.
East Precinct: Atrium cafe (Level 1) weekdays only
n Massemo (Recreation Centre) weekdays only
n Ferguson Bar (Recreation Centre building)
n Campus Kebab (kiosk – Quadrangle area) weekdays only
n Sushi Lounge (kiosk – Quadrangle area) weekdays only
Oteha Rohe: Cafe in Building 98 weekdays only
Vending Machines: There are vending machines in and around all main buildings on the East Precinct, which supply light snacks and beverages. There are also hot beverage dispensers on:
n Level 1, Quadrangle B (foyer) on the East Precinct
n Building 96, Oteha Rohe
Off Campus:In Albany Village, the Albany Mega Centre and Westfield Mall there are numerous cafe and fast food options.

LIBRARY: On the East Precinct - open 7 days a week. Hours of operation:
§ Monday – Thursday :8.30 am – 11 pm
§ Friday: 8.30 am – 8 pm
§ Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 8pm
Plus 24 hour access to the catalogue and a range of online resources from http://library.massey.ac.nz/
BOOKSHOP: Bennetts Bookshop is in the Sir Neil Waters Lecture Theatres Building and stocks course textbooks and general stationery.
Open Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5 pm.
RECREATION CENTRE: Casual Visits cost $8.50, and this gives access to the Health & Fitness Studio which has a comprehensive range of weights and cardio equipment. Access to the Sports Hall is free, and balls and racquets can be hired.
ATMs: There is a National Bank ATM which accepts all banks’ cards, outside the entrance to the Recreation Centre. Other ATMs are located in the shopping malls close to the East Precinct.
TRANSPORT: To and from the Airport
§ The Albany campus is approximately 50 km from the Airport.
§ There are several shuttle companies operating between the Airport and the Campus, including

Local Buses: Bus services come onto campus for transport to most parts of the North Shore. Timetables are listed on the covered bus stops outside Quadrangle A building on the East Precinct, or can be picked up outside the Albany Students’ Association Information Office in the Atrium building.
Shuttle Bus : A free shuttle bus between the East Precinct and Oteha Rohe runs 0835 to 1655 weekdays during semester time. Timetable and details are on the Massey website http://tinyurl.com/ms7ssc

PARKING: Free on campus in the signposted general student areas (ie, not in the spaces allocated for staff, visitors, mobility, carpooling etc). Cars parked illegally are likely to be clamped.

Shopping: excellent
shopping at Westfield Mall (http://westfield.co.nz/albany/)
Cinema: There is a multiplex cinema in the Westfield mall.
Restaurant /Bars: There is an excellent student community bar on campus, the Ferguson Bar, which also serves food.
There are range of choices of restaurants and bars (including food hall) in the Westfield Shopping mall and adjacent areas.
